Sébastien Beck (born in 1976) is a graduate of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Metz, in the piano classes of Jean-Marc Bonn and Éric Vidonne. His course of study also included Clarinet, Orchestral Conducting and Theory. In 1995 he enrolled in the piano class of Roger Muraro at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon, where he obtained his Diplôme National Supérieur de Musique and his advanced studies degree, as well as the Certificate of Aptitude in piano. In 2002 he took part in the Erasmus exchange programme at the Musikhochschule of Lübeck in the class of Konstanze Heickhorst. He subsequently performed under the auspices of the ‘Semaine des jeunes solistes’ (Young Soloists’Week) accompanied by the National Orchestra of Lyon at the Maurice Ravel Auditorium there.
Sébastien Beck plays in récital and chamber music at the Montpellier Radio-France Languedoc Roussillon festival, at the Festival des Grands crus de Bourgogne, the Schauenberg festival, and in the context of the chamber music season of the soloists from the Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra…Following ten years spent in Alsace from 2002 to 2012 as Professor of Piano at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental in Mulhouse and six as director of the Orchestre d’Harmonie de Mulhouse, he is presently Professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Metz-Métropole.
