Boulanger, Chaminade & Debussy : D'un matin de printemps

 

Paris, 1900. Impressionist era, and time of emancipation and freedoms
wherein Nature, perceived or dreamed-of, was a source of inspiration. The
alliance between the flute and organ is natural – one is but the mechanisation and amplification of the other. It serves a repertory of infinite poetry, a
felicitous witness to an epoch that knew how to find in art the wherewithal
for rescue from its own self.
