Les Musiciens et la Grande Guerre vol. 34
Bridge - Cras - Farrar - Kelly - La Presle
Several British composers wished to put across their feelings when confronted with the loss of people dear to them, whether those mourned by Frank Bridge and F. S. Kelly or an immense throng of dead soldiers for E. B. Farrar. This sorrowful sentiment extends to children from whom Jean Cras saw himself separated, and Jacques de la Presle shares with his wife a dayto-day horror of war while sketching out a symphonic poem.
